The Enhanced Discount Component unlocks UpOrder's newer discount component experience, including more flexible discount offers and support for Shopify discount combinations.
Enabling this feature does not automatically change your live notification emails. After the feature is enabled, you still need to open the templates where you want to use a discount, configure the Discount component, save your changes, and publish the updated templates to Shopify.
Before you start
You need access to Feature Management in UpOrder. Shopify may also ask you to approve updated app permissions when you enable this feature, because the enhanced discount component uses Shopify discount permissions to create and manage discount offers.
How to enable the Enhanced Discount Component
1. Open UpOrder from your Shopify admin.
2. Go to Feature Management.
3. Find Enhanced Discount Component.
4. Turn the feature on. If Shopify prompts you to approve updated app permissions, review and approve them to finish enabling the feature.
How to use it in a template
1. Open the template set you want to edit.
2. Open the notification template where you want the discount to appear.
3. Add a Discount component, or select an existing Discount component in the template.
4. Configure the discount settings in the builder sidebar.
5. Save your changes and publish the updated templates to Shopify when you are ready for the changes to go live.
A note about discount combinations
The enhanced discount component can support more flexible offers, including offers that combine more than one discount benefit. Whether a discount can combine with another discount at checkout depends on Shopify's discount-combination rules and the combination settings for the discounts involved.

If you do not see the enhanced discount options
Confirm that the feature is enabled in Feature Management, then refresh UpOrder and reopen the template builder. If the options still do not appear, make sure the updated Shopify permissions were approved and contact support if you need help.
