How do I add my social media accounts to my email templates?

Add and manage social profile links for footer social icons in UpOrder templates.

UpOrder uses one saved set of social profile links for your store. You can edit those links from Company settings, or from the Footer component while you are working in the email builder.

The saved social links are shared across your templates. Each template footer controls whether social icons are shown, and which social icons are included.

Supported social links

UpOrder currently has fields for Facebook, Instagram, RSS Feed, Twitter, Facebook Messenger, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Add or update social links from Company settings

  1. Open UpOrder in Shopify.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Scroll to Social links.

  4. Paste the full URL for each social account you want to include.

  5. Click Save.

Add or update social links from the email builder

  1. Open the template you want to edit in the UpOrder builder.

  2. Select the Footer component.

  3. Open Social Icons in the settings panel.

  4. Turn on Include social icons.

  5. Use the links checkboxes to choose which social icons should appear in that template.

  6. If you need to add or change the saved URLs, click Edit social links.

  7. Enter the full URLs, then click Save in the social links modal.

  8. Save the template.

Use the full URL

Use the full web address for each account, including https://. For example, use https://www.instagram.com/yourstore instead of instagram.com/yourstore.

Make the changes live

After updating a template, publish or update the Shopify version of that notification email so the change appears in live customer emails.

Troubleshooting

  • If an icon does not appear, open the Footer component and confirm that Include social icons is turned on.

  • If a specific network does not appear, confirm that its checkbox is selected in the Footer component's Social Icons settings.

  • If an icon appears but links to the wrong place, update the saved URL in Company settings or by using Edit social links in the builder.

  • If the change looks correct in UpOrder but not in a live email, save the template and update or publish it to Shopify again.
