To send a test email for an UpOrder notification template, the template first needs to be published or copied from UpOrder into Shopify. Shopify sends the test email from the notification template that is currently saved in Shopify.
If you have made changes in UpOrder but have not published those changes to Shopify yet, the Shopify test email will show the older version that is still saved in Shopify.
How to send a test email in Shopify
1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Notifications > Customer notifications.

2. Select the notification you want to test. For example, select Order confirmation.
3. Review the preview and click Send test.

Shopify sends the test email to the account you used to log in to the Shopify admin.
What to know about test emails
Shopify's preview and test email use sample data, so some dynamic order details may look different from a real customer email.
If you need to test order-specific Liquid, product recommendations, or conditional content, place a test order and review the actual notification workflow.
If the test email does not look like your latest UpOrder template, publish or copy the updated template into Shopify again, then send another test.
