Using the "Template Settings" in the UpOrder builder

How using the Template Settings can help you save time

The Template Settings area lets you manage the shared styling for your UpOrder templates, so you do not have to make the same design change one component at a time.

Use Template Settings when you want to update the overall look of a template set, such as the email background, buttons, discounts, product recommendations, dividers, or fonts.

You can find Template Settings in the bottom-left corner of the UpOrder builder. When you open it, the Theme panel appears on the right side of the builder.

The current Template Settings sections are:

  • Email Styles

  • Button Styles

  • Discount Styles

  • Recommendation Styles

  • Divider Styles

  • Font Styles

These settings are most useful when you want a consistent design across the templates in the template set you are editing. If you use more than one template set, review the Template Settings for each set separately.

Some individual components also have their own styling controls. If a specific component does not look the way you expect after changing Template Settings, click that component in the builder and check whether it has component-level settings that need to be updated too.

After making changes, review the templates that will use the updated style. We recommend starting with Order confirmation, then checking the other templates in the same set to make sure the changes look right everywhere.

You will need to publish your updated templates to Shopify before these changes are reflected in your live notification emails.
