You can add a standalone image to a notification template with the Image component in the UpOrder builder.
How to add an image
Open the template set you want to edit in UpOrder.
Open the notification template where you want the image to appear.
Click Add section in the left sidebar.
Select the Image component.
Click the image component in the email preview to open its settings.
Click Select Image, or click Change and then Change Image if an image is already selected.
Upload a new image, or choose one of the images that has already been uploaded to your store's UpOrder image library.
Save your changes.
Optional image settings
After you select an image, you can adjust the image settings from the right side of the builder.
URL: Add a link if you want the image to be clickable. This is useful for banners, promotions, product collections, or store pages.
Width: Set the display width of the image. UpOrder notification emails are designed around a 600px-wide email layout, so the image width can be set up to 600px.
Alt Text: Use Show Advanced to add alt text. This is recommended when the image communicates important information, because some email clients block images by default.
Vertical Space: Use Show Advanced to add space above and below the image.
Position: Use Show Advanced to align the image left, center, or right.
Image recommendations
For most email images, use a JPG or PNG. GIFs can also be used when animation is important, but keep animated images lightweight so they load well in email clients.
For best results, keep the file size as small as practical, make sure the image is easy to read at email size, and avoid putting critical text only inside an image. If an image will not upload or does not display as expected, convert it to a JPG or PNG and try again.
You will need to publish your updated templates to Shopify before these changes are reflected in your live notification emails.
