Yes. You can customize the Track Your Order button URL in your shipping notification emails.
By default, UpOrder uses Shopify's order status page link for this button. That link takes the customer back to Shopify's order status page, where Shopify can show fulfillment details such as the carrier and tracking number when that information is available.
Shopify's order status page link is usually the safest option because it is unique to the customer's order. Shopify's Liquid variable for that dynamic order status link is called order_status_url. If you need the exact Liquid syntax, use Shopify's documentation linked below as the source of truth.
When should I change the link?
You might want to change the button link if you use a third-party tracking app, fulfillment partner, or branded tracking page and you want customers to go there instead of Shopify's order status page.
If you use a static URL, every customer who clicks the button will go to the same page. If your tracking provider needs order-specific information, use the dynamic URL format that provider gives you, and test it with a real fulfilled test order before publishing the template to Shopify.
How to update the button link
Open the template set you want to update in UpOrder.
Use the template dropdown to open the relevant shipping notification, such as Shipping confirmation, Shipping update, Shipment out for delivery, or Shipment delivered.
Select the Track Your Order or tracking button in the email preview.
In the button settings, update the button URL/link field.
Save your changes.
Publish or copy the updated template to Shopify so the live Shopify notification uses the new link.
Using Tracktor or another tracking integration
If you use Tracktor or another tracking integration that is available in UpOrder, enable the integration from Feature Management first, then use the matching component or setup flow in the builder. You can review the Feature Management overview here: Feature Management Navigation & Third Party Components.
Testing the link
After you publish the updated template to Shopify, place or use a test order, fulfill it with tracking information, and send the relevant Shopify notification. This is the best way to confirm that the button sends customers to the correct order-specific tracking page.
