Finding the right plan for your store can be difficult and time-consuming. Here at Spently, we have done all of the work for you through the process of usage-based billing. You might be wondering "What is usage-based billing?" do not worry, this article will answer all your questions.

We have broken this down into 3 sections to help you:

  1. What Is Usage-Based Billing?

  2. What Spently Plans Are Available?

  3. How Do Spently Charges Appear On My Shopify Bill?

Usage Based Billing will automatically move you to the correct plan based on your order volume for a particular usage cycle. It will also reset you back on our lowest paid plan at the start of each usage cycle. This means you are never paying too much for your Spently plan.

What is a usage cycle? A usage cycle is a time period of 30 days. Due to this, your Spently usage cycle may be different from your Shopify billing cycle. Your Spently plan cycle begins once your free trial is complete on a paid plan.

All of our plans are based on your order volume and your order volume will reset back to 0 each cycle. *

All of our plans are designed to make sure you are getting the most out of Spently. Here is a breakdown of what is included in all of our usage plans:

- $0.00 per cycle (That's right! Completely free to use!)

- Access to all 27 Shopify notification emails

- Spently recommended products

- Unique Spently discount codes

- Analytics on your Shopify notification emails

- Access to our support documents and help center

- Complimentary training webinar

On the Starter plan, your usage cycle will start from when you first install the Spently app on your store.

If your store does more than 50 orders, our paid usage plans will be best for you. We include a complimentary 14-day trial to try our paid Spently plans as well!*

Essential Plan: Up to, and including, 500 orders per cycle.

- Integrations with LimeSpot, Sufio, and Tracktor

- Spently branding removed from the footer of emails

*Please note: By activating the 14-day trial, you accept the Spently terms of service for the paid usage plans and started a new paid cycle. This means you will be charged after accepting the trial unless you move back down to the Starter Plan. The first charge will appear on your next Shopify bill.

If you do less than 50 orders per cycle after you accept the usage charge, you will still be on the Essential plan at $99.99 for that cycle.

Spently cannot accept any charges for you and this must be done by the Shopify account admin with permissions to do so. You can find our terms of service here: Spently Terms Of Service.

If you do more than 500 orders for this cycle, you will be automatically moved to the Growth Plan to ensure no interruption in service.

Growth Plan: Up to, and including, 1000 orders per cycle.

If you are doing more than 5000 orders per cycle, we can get you set up on one of the Custom Plans. These are also perfect for Shopify Plus merchants or multi-site merchants.

For more information on this, please reach out to us directly at: [email protected].

We do all our billing through Shopify to streamline the process and all bills will depend on your plan type. You will be able to see what plan you are on in the Spently app. Simply click on "Usage & Plans" on your Spently dashboard. Here you will see what plan you are on, your current usage for the month and when your plan resets. If you are on a paid plan, you will be charged on the day your plan resets every month.

If you are on the Starter Plan, you will never be charged for using Spently.

If you are on the Essential Plan and above, you may see multiple charges appear on your bill. There will always be a base fee of $99.99 for "Spently Email Templates" which is for the Essential Plan. If you exceed a plan order limit for that cycle, you will be charged an additional usage charge listed as "Usage fees". Below is an example of a merchant on the Premium Plan with the usage fees highlighted in the red box.

Please note, as your billing starts from when you move on to a paid usage plan, your billing cycle may be different from Shopify. This means usage charges from the previous month may appear on your current Shopify bill.
